This is a very interesting fish plate from the Eocene of Wyoming. There are three different genera of fish on this plate. The large fish in the center of the plate is Mioplosus labracoides. Below this specimen is a very fine, complete Knightia humilis. Above the Mioplosus and to the right is a wonderful specimen of Amphiplaga bracyptera. This is a very rare fish from this location. Only a few Amphiplaga are found each year. All of the fish exhibit very fine detail. The fish have great natural color and contrast. They are well displayed on a large, rectangular slab of matrix. This is a very unique plate of three different fossil fish from the Green River Formation.
