This is a very beautiful specimen of Phareodus testis from the Green River Formation. The fossil fish has excellent orange color and contrasts extremely well with the cream-colored matrix. It displays incredible detail. The bone structure is very nice. The detail of the fins is excellent. The fish has the mouth open and the teeth are superbly exhibited. The specimen is nicely centered on a rectangular plate of shale. This is a very displayable specimen of this predatory fish from Wyoming.
