This is a very nice specimen of Diplomystus dentatus from the Eocene of Wyoming. The fossil fish has good brown color and contrasts nicely with the cream-colored matrix. The fish has great bone structure and excellent fin detail. It is well centered on an oval plate of matrix. This is a very pretty fossil fish from the Green River Formation.
