This is an unusual fossil fish from the Green River Formation. This is a very fine specimen of Amphiplaga bracyptera. Only a handful of these fish are found each year. This specimen is very beautiful. It is nicely centered on a rectangular plate of shale. The color and contrast are excellent. The bone structure and detail of the fins are outstanding. This is a great specimen of Amphiplaga from Wyoming.
