This is a wonderful specimen of Diplomystus dentatus from the Eocene of Wyoming. This fossil fish exhibits incredible detail. The bone structure is superb. The fins are well displayed. The dark brown color of the fossil contrasts nicely with the cream-colored matrix. The specimen is well centered on the rectangular block of matrix. There is also another partial fish on the slab. This is a very displayable specimen of a fossil fish.
