Here is an extremely rare fish from the Solnhofen deposits of Germany. This specimen was in a MAJOR German Solnhofen collection for years. This fossil fish is well positioned on a natural slab of limestone. It exhibits fantastic detail. The bone and fin detail are superb. Even the large teeth are evident. The long dorsal fin is almost unbelievable. This is absolutely the best specimen of this particular genus that we have ever seen. It is truly a remarkable specimen of an exotic fossil fish from the Jurassic of Germany.
