This is a beautiful plate of fossil fish from the Eocene of Wyoming. There are three very distinct Knightia eocaena on the plate. All of the fish display very well. The fish have nice, dark coloration, and the contrast with the cream-colored matrix is just outstanding. The fish are naturally positioned on the large, aesthetic plate of shale - two of them are crossed over one another, which is pretty cool! This is a very fine display plate of three fossil fish from the Green River Formation.
