Formation: Lycoptera Layers
Location: Liaoning Province, China
Size: Fish is 2.8 inches long
This is a distinct specimen of Lycoptera davidi from the Jurassic of China. This fossil fish has excellent detail preserved - the bone structure of the fish is clearly defined. The natural brown color of the fossil contrasts beautifully with the tannish-grey matrix. The fish has a cool look to it and is well presented on the natural plate of shale. This is a very fine example of a fossil fish from the time of the dinosaurs.
A Certificate of Authenticity from EXTINCTIONS is included with this specimen.
