This is a nice specimen of Jianghanicthys hubeiensis from the Eocene of China. This fish is complete and exhibits great detail. The bone structure is clearly defined, and the fins and tail are easily seen. The dark brown color of the fish contrasts well with the light-colored matrix. The fish is beautifully showcased on the rectangular plate of shale. This is a wonderful example of a complete Jianghanicthys from the Eocene of China.
