This is a very unique specimen of Lycoptera davidi from the Jurassic of China. There are two fossil fish on the slab - both fish are well preserved and exhibit fine detail. The bone structure is clearly defined, and the fins are easily seen. The fossils have very good color and contrast and are beautifully displayed in an interesting "X" pose on the natural plate of shale. This is a fine plate of fossil fish from the time of the dinosaurs.
A Certificate of Authenticity from EXTINCTIONS is included with this specimen.
