This is a fine fossil fish. It is a large Diplomystus from Kemmerer, Wyoming. This fossil was found in the ''18 Inch Layer'', a layer where the fossils have good detail and great dark color. The fossils need to be extracted under a microscope with an air scribe to reveal all the detail. This fish specimen has very good detail - the bones are very easily seen. And the fish is well centered on the large, semi-rectangular plate of shale. This is a very nice Diplomystus dentatus from the ''18 Inch Layer'' of the Green River Formation.
A Certificate of Authenticity from EXTINCTIONS is included with this specimen.
