This is a very prolific multiple plate of Knightia eocaena from the Green River Formation of Wyoming. It is interesting that all the fossil fish are the same type. The fossils exhibit fine detail - the eye sockets are easily seen, and the bone structure of the fish is quite evident. The fins and tails are also nicely intact. The fossils have good color and contrast and are naturally scattered about the large matrix plate. This is a very rare grouping of TEN fossil fish on one plate. (Plate has been broken and repaired.)
A Certificate of Authenticity from EXTINCTIONS is included with this specimen.
