This is a nice multiple plate of Knightia eocaena from the Green River Formation of Wyoming. It is interesting that all the fossil fish are the same type and are all swimming in the same direction! The fossils exhibit fine detail - the eye sockets are easily seen, and the bone structure of the fish is quite evident. The fins and tails are also nicely intact. The fossils have good color and contrast. and are naturally scattered about the large matrix plate. This is a very close grouping of seven fossil fish on one plate.
