This is an excellent fossil fish from the Cretacous of Morocco. This fish is complete and wonderfully articulated. The detail of this disc-shaped fish is just exquisite! The bone structure is clearly defined, and the fins and tail are wonderfully displayed. The natural, dark brown color of the fish contrasts beautifully with the light-colored matrix. The fossil is nicely showcased on the large, natural plate of limestone that also has a small, unidentified fish preserved at the bottom. This is a great specimen of this unusual fish from Africa.
