This is a fine specimen of Priscacara serrata from the Eocene of Wyoming. The fossil fish has natural orange color and contrasts beautifully with the cream-colored matrix. The fish has great bone structure and excellent fin detail, especially on the large dorsal fin. The Priscacara looks like it is playing ''follow the leader'' with the Knightia located directly behind it. Both fish are wonderfully centered on the squared plate of shale. This is a beautiful example of this classic fossil fish from the Green River Formation.
This fossil was collected and obtained legally, and is also being sold legally.
